Q: What is your favourite type of research? Why?
Quant (multimarket research) - guess as a data person I like to look at how the numbers correlate to the larger picture and multimarket projects often throw up some interesting findings and patterns that show a sense of uniqueness for a given country.

Q: What are your first impressions of Face Facts Research?
Energetic, enthusiastic and relaxed.

Q: What have you found most challenging so far?
Working in an office environment again, having spent the past 12 months working from home.

Q: Tell us something about yourself…
I studied Engineering at University (I have a BEng in Aerospace Engineering) and did really fall into Market research after taking time out to travel post university – 18 years on an it still baffles most of my ex colleagues from my first company.

Q: Favourite TV show or film..?
Goodfellas.

Q: Favourite food..?
Gulab jamun (Indian Sweet).

Q: What is your favourite type of research? Why?
I don’t have one, I love them all! Each type has its own positives.

Q: What are your first impressions of Face Facts Research?
Everyone friendly and happy to help out, really positive despite sometimes facing potentially tricky scenarios. The type of work coming in and costed for is really varied and interesting.

Q: What have you found most challenging so far?
Given my previous experience running mainly Quantitative projects, it’s getting my head around all the different types of Qual projects we run.

Q: Tell us something about yourself…
Londoner living in Leeds for last 4 years. Husband to Racheal, Dad to Ellie, Sam & Alex, Slave to Fred the cat.

Q: Favourite TV show or film..?
The Wire.

Q: Favourite food..?
Can’t beat Pie and Mash, East End style.

Q: What is your favourite type of research? Why?
I would have to say a Hall test because it’s a great way to see how companies are potentially changing their products to better consumer needs. It’s also really interesting to see what the consumer thinks of these changes.

Q: What are your first impressions of Face Facts Research?
Being new to the industry everyone has been so friendly and has helped me learn the world of market research so quickly.

Q: What have you found most challenging so far?
Understanding all the market research terminology and acquiring a plant for my desk.

Q: Tell us something about yourself…
I’ve loved the performing arts since I was 3 years old. I worked in theatre schools in Newcastle directing and producing performances. I also love history and have most recently travelled to Italy where I did a night tour of the Colosseum and spent the day in Pompeii, I loved every minute.

Q: Favourite TV show or film..?
I don’t really have a favourite, I just like so many, but I really did love Stranger Things.

Q: Favourite food..?
Roast dinner.

Q: What is your favourite type of research? Why?
I prefer the Qualitative approach to market research - it’s much more of a natural, relaxed and organic way to gather in-depth information and a lot easier to see how people are engaging with each other.

Q: What are your first impressions of Face Facts Research?
How lovely and welcoming everyone is. I’m a complete newbie to the world of research and everyone has been super helpful.

Q: What have you found most challenging so far?
Remembering all the different terminologies.

Q: Tell us something about yourself…
I’m originally from a small town in the East Midlands and I’m learning to knit!

Q: Favourite TV show or film..?
Too many to choose from. But if I had to choose, my favourite TV series would be Peep Show.

Q: Favourite food..?
Pasta!
